MY HIFI HISTORY
Dries Van Hooydonck
Here you can read my complete hifi history. I started with very basic equipment, step by step getting closer to a high-end audio reproduction. Some things are still missing, and here and there are some serious time gaps. So, it is still “Work in progress”. Anyway… Enjoy!
Supra Cables by Jenving Technology provide a wide range of cables with an excellent price/quality ratio.
The Musical Fidelity V-DAC II was the best budget DAC at the time. Of course in those days there were much better DAC’s, but they came at a much higher price.
The Parasound php 850 preamplifier was my first "decent" preamp to match my (budget friendly) system in a time long before "high end" hit my living room...
Rega Apollo cd player: my first introduction with the term high end and my oldest component friend.
My first speakers were retro and custom built in the seventies. They really looked awful!!
